Zero Hour

In both the Houses of Parliament, the hour immediately after the Question Hour is called the Zero Hour. The subject for consideration in the Zero Hour is not predetermined. In this, any question of public importance can be raised without notice, and any minister can be asked to answer for this reason, it is also called 'Question Answer Session! The term 'Zero Hour' is not mentioned in the Indian parliamentary process. Since this starts at exactly 12 noon (C0 pm). Hence it was named Zero Hour by the media. Thus, Zero Hour in the Parliamentary System is India's contribution. It was started in 1962 and presently a total of 20 issues can be raised up during the Zero Hour.

Call Attention Motion - When a Member of Parliament Craws the attention of a Minister to a very important subject in public interest or asks questions related it, with the approval of the Speaker, it is called a Call Attention Motion. Through this, the concerned minister is requested to make a statement on the detailed subject The Minister may make an immediate statement or may call for time thereon. In the parliamentary process, the concept of Call Attention Motion, similar to Zero Hour is also a concept of India which came into existence in 1954. This has limited the scope of the Adjournment Motion.

Privilege Motion - If any person has violated the privilege of a House of Parliament or its members by hiding facts or giving false information, any member of Parliament can make a 'Privilege Motion' against the Minister. Its purpose is to condemn the minister concerned.

Censure Motion—This motion is presented only in the Lower House (Lok Sabha). It is a censure proposal against a particular minister or government by members of the opposition party to criticize the government's policies or any work. In order to present this proposal, it is necessary to give a specific reason or basis. It is necessary for the Government to prove a majority in the House after the resolution of the censure is passed.
